PURPOSE OF PROGRAM
The Indie Theater Fund Assistance Program is intended to provide emergency or urgent assistance to those who have an acute need arising from an unforeseen and unavoidable situation which results in an additional hardship that will materially prevent or impede their Independent Theater production. Most often this will be the result of an act of god, illness, injury, accident or a crime for which there is little or no other assistance immediately available. We also provide Urgency Assistance to companies that are presented with an urgent opportunity that would significantly impact a production or the company and that they can not otherwise accept without funding support.
FUNDING CYCLE and DEADLINE
There are no specific granting or application deadlines. Applications may be submitted on an as needed basis throughout the year.
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must be an organization that has produced or participated in at least 3 independent theater productions in NYC in venues with 99 seats or less.
- Applicant must have a US Bank Account to receive funds.
- Individual Applicants
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the application date
- Must have their legal address within CT, NY, NJ, PA jurisdictions
- Must be a US citizen
